In the top 5 greyhounds in Canada during his show career, owner handled, Denver was successful in the ring in both Canada and the US. Lightly shown in both countries, Denver was Number 4 greyhound in the US in 2006, shown only a few months while staying with his friend Lori Weiner.

Denver and his brother William's near identical appearance led to great success as a brace in the show ring in their younger days.
In 2010, as senior dogs, their identical appearance led to them landing a role in the movie 50/50, as Skeletor the old rescue greyhound who helps Adam through his cancer treatment. Click here for a short clip from the film. Warning - language.
Big thanks to Dana Dube, the trainer who worked with the boys on the film. Each day of filming, the boys eagerly awaited her arrival, and loved her visits after the film wrapped - a testament to her love for dogs and skill as a trainer!
We are happy to report that greyhound rescue has benefitted - with an increase in interest in the breed - as rescue organizations used the film as an opportunity for meet and greets.
Sadly, we lost William in 2012. Denver still leads his grey pack, a little doddery, but still game.
Overshadowed by her brother who has been the focus of our activities in the ring, Emma carries on the elegance and effortless movement of her mother. Playful and sweet, Emma at 11 years of age still thinks she is a puppy.
Emma has been a wonderful mom to her puppies - both her grey children, and her adopted son, Sirius the bullmastiff who arrived at our home at 8 weeks. The son of Barry, Dave's male, Sirius (now 2 years) was schooled by Emma, a stern mom, who taught him to be gentle enough not to scratch through the very thin skin of his greyhound playmates.
Her lessons served him well, as he is very respectful to the elders - careful not to knock the doddery Denver off his feet. He also enjoys a good run with his young grey packmates.
